Strategic IT Design

Build an IT Roadmap

An IT Roadmap is a strategic IT design document that tells you how to get from where you are today, to where you want to be in the future.

What business priorities do you have in the next year or two? Do your current systems support those objectives, or will you need to  implement new technologies?

An IT Roadmap identifies the technologies that you’ll implement to give your employees the tools they need to succeed . . . and an actionable plan to make it a reality.

“Where do we go from here?”

High-level strategic IT design aligns your technology plan with your business objectives.

On the heels of an IT Assessment, or as a standalone project, we can develop a forward-looking architectural design that leverages the best of your existing infrastructure and blends it with current and expected technology solutions.  We call this an “IT Roadmap” to help you guide your technology from where it stands today to where it can best serve your unique business needs.

Seitel Systems will work with your team, through a whiteboard session or other collaborative setting.  Based on our conversations, we will design an architecture to include recommendations on whether – and how best – to incorporate  solutions like:

  • Cloud-hosted email, telephony, messaging and collaboration services
  • Advanced virtualization solutions with hybridized onsite and hosted services
  • Solutions for offsite or cloud-hosted disaster recovery
  • Cloud-hosted backup and disaster recovery
  • Virtual desktops hosted either onsite or offsite

This collaborative design process results in two deliverable documents:

    • Current and future server and network topology diagrams
    • A narrative report describing recommended services (plus our rationale behind not recommending other options), along with budget estimates for procuring equipment and implementing the new architecture

Once you have an IT Roadmap (a high-level strategic design), the next phase of the IT lifecycle is Implementation. Our IT Project services provide the detailed design and engineering expertise that will maek your implementation a success.

We can provide fully outsourced engineering and project management services, or we can come alongside your in-house IT department to provide specific technology expertise. Follow the link below to learn more about IT Projects and the Implementation phase.
